About Swami's
Swami's bespoke surfboards are hand crafted to offer ergonomic excellence teamed with striking imagery. Working with the greatest shapers we have created a range of boards that not only look a breed apart but also surf like dreams. A full quiver of shapes and sizes are available to order.
Coming shortly will be a collection of clothing and accessories with the same attention to detail, craftsmanship and artistry which distinguishes the brand. Surfing is an art form and deserving of products with the integrity that Swami's provides.

These drawings are taken from a collection made during various travels, surfing or otherwise. The line work is incredibly detailed, almost cartographic in the way the compositions are gradually built up as if recording contours on a map.
This gives a clue to the surreal subjects that are inspired by the oceans, landscapes and abstract renditions of surf. The most personal of all the Swami's boards, they are frozen in layers of highly polished resin making them beautiful objects in themselves as well as inspiring to surf.

Feathers are a recurring visual metaphor throughout Swami's range, they are a fitting symbol for the strength and grace at the heart of surfing. This design can work well through all our board shapes, however the composition suits the long boards best. Available in a multitude of colours.

Turban Wrap .1
On our travels through India and Indonesia we have discovered some rare and antique batiks together with saris and genuine Sikh turbans. They are beautiful textiles in their own right and we're working with a technique called "silk wrapping" to lay the fabrics into the surface of the decks before being sealed under layers of resin. The result is an incredibly rich surface image which is then decorated with various overlaid shapes to create a unique one of a kind board.

Orlebar Brown's new partnership with Swami's is set to change the shape of swimwear for every ocean-going aesthete.
Swami's is fast attracting the hip and cool of the surf world. Named after a point break in California - and the word for Indian holy man - the brand's hand-crafted boards (made by some of the best shapers in the world) are emblazoned with poetic graphics. The line-up also consists of cool T-shirts and hoodies. The boards look pretty impressive hanging on the wall, too.
